Hello guys I just found this forum and wanted to get some ideas on what is wrong with this little guy. He has this almost plastic looking clear tendril coming out under him (i attached a photo). The tendril doesn’t move so I don’t think its a worm/parasite. He/She was asking for food roaming around normally and is active but I just have no clue whats wrong with it.

So I bit the bullet and actually held the weird thing with tweezers and he started wiggling and the thing came loose. I looked at it for so long under a flashlight out of water and could not make up what it is. It seems to have relieved him or not have hurt him he seems unbothered but I will keep him in a small cup to keep monitoring him for the rest of today.
