My betta usually has blueish-white fins that fade to blue and red and in the past few weeks they have gotten red streaks and then turned to full red with black tips.

He has been flaring excessively because the tank I have had two mirrored sides (dumb right?) but I fixed that with some pond liner placed over the mirrored sides.

Please help me diagnose him! :(

He is just changing colors. Bettas tend to change colors when they mature or when they are put in better quality water.

ooooh, I think you have a marble! and a lovely one at that. Nothing to worry about, he's just prettying himself up for you. Unless his fins start to shrink or get tattered looking or the edges get crusty looking. He looks very handsome.

Oh my goodness! What a relief! Thanks so much for your help. I was so worried about him.

That explains why he changes from light blue to dark blue all the time. :)
