I just got a new boy last week. And i am REALLY excited about this one! He's a wild betta from Brunei. He cost a small fortune too but he is worth it, i have been dreaming about this fish for ages! He's called a macrostoma, the breeder who sold him to me insisted that this was the king of wild bettas. He's so beautiful too, big and orange but quite aggressive. I got a girl too, i have to make sure he doesnt hurt her. So what do you guys think i should name my new baby?
Sorry about his face not being too clear, it's hard to get a picture of him. He kinda looks like a bulldog though

He's very pretty.... But I'm lost on a name!!! He does kind of resemble a monarch butterfly, with those markings tho. Congrats on such a special find!

Any kinda name would be great. Formal or playful I'm not too fussy.
But I really like the comparisons to a butterfly! That never crossed my mind before but it's true, maybe I will go for something like Monarch. That's got a cool double meaning too.
Thanks for the compliments on my new fishy

He is really striking - the wild bettas are so intriquing!

I love the name Monarch - as you said, great double meanings which both apply! Monarch sounds kind of assertive or aggressive too, which goes with what you said about his character!

Then you could call the female something like Duchess or Princess or Lady _____ (fill in the blank) ! Maybe Lady Butterfly!

Ok, maybe this idea is a lil out there, but the name Lady brought 2 mind Lady Gaga! Or u could go Disney themed, name them Lady & Tramp!
