I came home from school and saw Ponyo swimming, just greeting me but he seems to have a scar on his face, then I look closer and I saw raised scales. It gave me goosebumps just looking at it. My understanding is that it could be Dropsy (he is not bloated, seems to react fine, eat well, but Im fasting him) or an actual scar that is caused by one of my plecos. I immediately isolated him so I can give him my utmost attention and keep the unknown illness from speading. Please help him, even if it's Dropsy, can you tell me what I should do to give him a chance to stay alive longer? I love this guy so much...

Is his other scales pine coning? he might just have scraped it on something.
PS. Is he named Ponyo because it sounds similar to friend (Péngyǒu) in Mandarin (Chinese)?

His other side of his face is normal, but am I going paranoid, or the scar is appearing on his other side too? :) and he got his name from the wonderful movie Ponyo by Haiao Miyazaki
