Hi - I've lurked here a bit.
My office mate & I got a betta - Freddy (that's him in the avatar) last spring for our office & now I'm getting one for home
I have a 6 gal that I'm starting to set up this weekend. I want to get the gravel & a few plants in then look for my new friend next week.
The office tank is tiny - the one in the pic is under a gal:shock: office mate already had it. I upgraded to a Betta Cube - a little bigger but still too small.
We really don't have the room for much bigger (we're in cubes ourselves!) - but we're trying to be creative so I'm hoping to come up w/ a better solution soon. We change most of the water every week & he's been ok so far.
Anyway - my home tank will be much better!
Years (YEARS) ago I had a 10 gal w/ a variety of fish & then we went to a 20 gal saltwater. Loved it - had sea horses, then a yellow tang, sea urchin & cleaner shrimp.
So I'm not a fish virgin:rofl:
But I am a bit rusty (that was bad!).
I love Freddy - he's very cool - & need a simple easy to care for set-up (health issues) - so figured a Betta is just what I need at home.

I hope to learn lot's & show off my new buddy when I adopt him!
