I was feeding Martha some blood worms today when i noticed these black marks near her eyes. Could this be hole in head or just her coloring/ pores. So far she'd been eating like normal and doesn't seem too lethargic but these marks have me concerned.

She had a 2.5 gallon tank with a heater and a bubble filter. i have;t gotten the chance to test the PH parameters yet.

I don’t see anything of concern, do you mean the tiny pin sized holes on his head? Those are sensory pits and totally normal. Otherwise I may need you to circle what you are talking about and fill out the form.

I've had fish with similar unless your betta is showing other signs it looks like nothing of worry

All fish have sensory pits. It's a common mistake to think it's HITH.

These are sensory pits. I this is what you're seeing then he's fine.

I noticed some are more distinct than others like my goldfish have smaller ones while my bettas is more distinct
