Hi I'm new to owning bettas and this morning I noticed that my betta (Oddie) has a tear/hole in his tail! I'm really freaked thinking it something serious, I also noticed there's something on one side of his tail! I'm freaked and don't know what to do! Please help!

He could be a tail biter. Just keep the water clean to make sure that it will heal and not get infected.
My HM has a "bubble" on his tail because when is tail was healing it healed incorrectly. I see it as scar tissue. Unfortunately I can hardly tell what is in the picture because it is very unclear.

Aquarium salt can help with the healing process but clean water is better in the long run.
I can understand the picture quality, some fish don't get that we are trying to capture their beauty or trying to get them healthy and just swim frantically wondering what you're doing.
I don't think I ever found AQ salt at walmart, you're more likely to find it at a pet store or fish store.

I don't see anything wrong with his fins in the picture. Just keep the water clean and warm and he should be fine.
