Someone mentioned to me that Guppy looks like he is an older fish... not sure what "older" means, but it got me thinking, he also has a sister who is somewhat smaller. How can you tell the age of a betta fish?

I'm not totally sure since the last time I had bettas (years ago before Lakitu) my betta just got weak, stopped swimming and eating and then died after about 1.5-2 yrs.
Appearance wise, I think they'll be less active and grumpy. They might not dance as ecstatically for food and they might just laze around. The hump on Guppy's head in the picture, was that always there?

Hump? He has a hump?

I guess it has always been there, I only had him six days. Is that a bad hump?
