How often should I clean this

I knew i wouldn't be able to stay away, LOL. Anyway I'm going to get an around 5 gallon tank no filter. How often should i clean this.:?

1 50% water change and 1 100% water change a week. Do a schedule like a 50% on Wednesday, a 100% on Saturday, and fast him on Sunday
