I have a copper girl I've had for about a month now who has developed a lumpy tumor on her left gill cover. She's always been a little lethargic but it's a little worse and I think it's related t the tumor. Has anyone had success with removing the tumors or is that not a option?

This is the photo of when I brought her home, that gill cover looks a little off now that I look closer. I'll get a photo of her tomorrow showing how much worse it is.

With how small a betta is, I wouldn't risk trying to remove it.

All you can really do is keep her comfortable and watch for any signs of bursting or deterioration.

If it doesn't impede her ability to function well and she is still happy, then I don't think you would have to euthanize or think about it as an immediate option. Some bettas can live their entire life with a tumor, and some need to be euthanized.
