So...my CT Sushi, is a very very picky eater. I went through several test trials of food and he will ONLY eat flaked food. So, I have been feeding him Omega One betta flakes. What i'm trying to figure out is this.... When you feed a betta pellets, you can easily measure it out, by saying feed him 2-4 pellets a day. Now...how to measure out how many flakes to give your betta. I don't think i'm overfeeding, cause he doesn't look "bloated", but i DO want to make sure I'm feeding him enough to provide the right nutrition. Can you help me gauge how much flaked food is an appropriate portion for breakfast and dinner?

Thanks in advance!

It's difficult to do with flakes.. I know the Omega One flakes are huge. I usually take one flake and crush it up in my fingers and give it to my fish (only one of my 9 fish eat those flakes). My Betta gets bloated easily, so that's all the more I can give him.

Best chance you have is to do something like that, take one or two flakes and crush them up and give them to your fish. If he gets bloated from it then give him less next time, or if he looks fine then you can either try giving him a little more or leave it at that. There's no real way to measure how much to feed for flakes- not in the same way as pellets anyway.

I hope that helped some. :)
