Huge bubble nest from my girl?

So, being the newbie that I am, I have my beautiful orange vt male, Leonidas, in one tank and a pretty blue female vt (from PetCo) in the other. This girl puts the male to shame in bubble nest building- the thing is huge and comes right out of the water!
I haven't been able to get a good pic of her yet but I'll post as soon as I can. Is she just a really good bubbler, or is it possible that I have a juvenile male instead? Her fins are quite round and full... :dunno:

I've heard of females making nests, I'm sure someone here mentioned there girly had :)
