And he was the greenest betta I've ever seen. He was green. GREEN!! It wasn't the water or the light. Although the water is blue from methylene blue, it doesn't affect the color of the bettas in their cups. So here's the gorgeous boy. And, for people who don't believe me, no, the image is not edited to either enhance or edit the color. I was amazed to see this guy. A gorgeous find! I'm so upset that I couldn't bring him home. :-(

Now that I look, he's greener in life and on my phone. Oh well, hopefully you guys will enjoy. Anyone have any green bettas?

Depending on the color of the betta, it does distort the color. I have a feeling it is a yellow betta.

No, I've gotten yellow bettas from Walmart before, they're yellow in the cups. It was a green betta. His face was brown, but he was green. The yellow bettas (usually females) are actually yellow in the cups. The blue dye does not distort the color from what I've seen. Even my blue marble didn't look distorted.

Also, PocketMew, I'm actually in Portage, Indiana right now. So, don't know how far that is from you, but there's some awesome bettas here.

He's not green, he is turquoise and they usually turn green in different light. I had a betta exactly like him. You can see the turquoise in the first and third picture

Yeah, green bettas are green without flash. My mother-in-law has a green and white marble HMPK. He's gorgeous and the first green marble I've ever seen. With the boy I found, he was green without flash. I'll see if he's still there tomorrow. I just might pick him up. :-D

I had a 'green" betta who was green or blue without flash. These were taken of the same betta with a Nintendo 3DS.

Wintergreen was an almost green betta too, but he really was blue. In florescent light he was green, but in LED he was actually blue. I named him wintergreen because of his color. I miss him every day. He was one of my greatest Petco purchase.

UGH!! I went to Walmart today and he was gone. :-( There was a black CT there that I wanted as well, but of course it has to be the green guy who is gone. *pouts*
