I have been eying this guy for the last 3 days. Every time I got close to Petco I would check in on him. Well I finally couldn't stand it anymore and picked him up and brought him home. He's currently living in a 2.5 gallon while his 10 gallon tank cycles.

This is a pic of him floating but I couldn't wait to show him off. Does anyone know if he is likely to be full grown or still growing; again he came from Petco and the guy didn't know how old their fish were that they get in.

looks like a small Crown Tail so I believe he is going to grow about an inch more.

Yeah he is he had my heart the first day I saw him. I love the Bettas with dark bodies and red iridescence colors on the fins. I really didn't want to put him in a smaller tank while my bigger one cycles. I just couldn't let him get a way. I've got him situated in his home for now. I was going to feed him sparingly but he inhaled the first pellet as soon as it hit the water. I figured he either hadn't been fed today or was early this morning so I gave him another 3 NLS.
