Hi! I have a 20 galling long and i would like some ideas on stocking

The tank will have
-1 male betta
-5 spotted corys
-3 amano shrimp
-lots of snails
-planted
-really good filtration (aqua clear 50)
-around 75-78 degrees f

i’m considering adding either a bristle nose or rubber lip pleco? a school of tetras or similar fish? any other ideas?

I’ve had great success with harlequin rasboras and male bettas. Rasboras are a schooling fish so you’ll need to have at least 8. These fish make a lovely splash of color and movement to your tank. They’re very chill fish and will leave the others alone. They won’t get picked on if there is enough of them.

And if you’re going to have a betta, you must keep the temperature between 78-82 degrees F. Anything cooler saps energy and their appetite. Not any warmer than that either.

Some Bettas are fine with tank mates others are not, When considering tank mates always be prepared for the worst and be prepared to move the tank mates at the very first sign of trouble waiting even a half hour could result in the Betta killing all his tank mates.

My Giant wont even tolerate snails on his glass, as for shrimp Etc well they are just food to him.

Heres how my guy treats tank mates.
