why would my tailbiting fishie love being in the hospital tank? He has never made this many bubbles, even before he was a tailbiter!! It has no filter system, just some shiney gems, a heater and a betta log. He seems happier without live plants and in aquarium salt treated water....lol!

Does your regular tank have a filter running? The still water may "trigger" his desire and comfort level to build. Only being a "know it all" because I just got home from work to find my "Killer" built an awesome nest while I was gone.

I have the same question with the filter, is it baffled? and how big is the tank?

I have heard that fish are all different and have preferences of tank size. I personally believe that the marble female I got likes a smaller tank than what I have her in(10 gallon).
