Hello everyone! So my little Daryl has been kept in his 1.5 gallon for too long :/ So for my birthday I asked my parents for a 5 gallon and guess what I am getting??!

It is beautiful and perfect! He is going to be so happy and I bought him a betta bed and everything. Now, which would you guys recommend for the bottom of his tank, Aquarium sand? tiny rocks? or big pebbles/rocks?
Thanks again everyone! Love you all my fellow betta nerds :)

I have that tank. The only thing Im not crazy about is the filter output. I put a little silk plant in it to stop the water out put. I love it because I can put the heater in the back so you dont see it. Its a great tank as long as you have a heater!

I have sand in two of my tanks, and it looked great at first, but after a while, it gets very thin (from it going into the water vacuum) and dirty-looking. I personally would choose gravel. Very exciting!

Oh yes, sorry my mistake, I do use airline tubing. I just find that when I don't go close to the sand, all of the gunk doesn't come up; particularly any algae growing on the sand. :)

The fact that you asked for something for your fish, for your birthday makes me like you, quite a bit (in a totally non-creepy, non-stalkery way) ;-)
