Is he or is he not?

Was out at my local aquatic shop, buying a new tank for my daughters room and yes i saw a beautiful young HM male and he came home with me too

and he had a new poster on his wall at closer inspection i found my boy "Ares" on the poster.....my question is, is he the one on the poster or is he not? i do know he branches of a V shape on the end of his fins.....what do you guys reckon?

It could be, or maybe one of his siblings/relatives. Hard to tell- it does look a lot like him.

I would say no. The head top line is different, plus the rays on the dorsal fin are longer on the picture than your boys. plus your boy seems to have double rays on the caudal rays, the boy in the picture looks more single to me.

No it isn't your betta. The betta on the poster is a single ray crowntail while Ares is a double ray crowntail. Also, Ares has more red on his fins

She said she bought a halfmoon when she went to the pet store. Nothing about Ares being one

Yeah different fish. The topline and rays are different
