I've had my betta for almost 2 years. Recently she's been slower and laying at the bottom of her tank. Her temp is 79* and no she no tank mates. I did a water change hoping to give her more energy but she hasnt changed. I also checked the water levels and they are fine. She's in a 10g with live plants and one artificial. She's still eager to eat when I drop food in

She kinda looks like what you say she looks like, but considering her age probably it's just aging at work. And because she still eating like a cute piggy I think she is fairly healthy, just keep the water clean as it is. Merry Christmas 🎄! Oh btw just lessen the amount you feed but still feed daily, maybe she's just having difficulty digesting due to old age

Hello and welcome to the forum!

As they get older they start getting slower and quieter. As long as she's still eating plenty and showing no signs of illness, she's alright!
Possibly consider placing more resting places around the tank for her?

As far as pineconing, she is not! Pineconing is characterized by the scales sticking up and out, consider an internet search to help demonstrate it's appearance?

And as D@))¥ €#I££ said, try lowering her intake of food and keep her water clean!

Also, I'd recommend watching her fins, they look a little clamped but it could just be from how she's resting.

She's a beautiful baby!!

I’m on my mobile phone and can really zoom in close to these pictures. Honestly it is still really hard to help give advice based off of pictures. Seeing a fish in person up close can still be hard to know exactly what is going on. I hope this betta fish can heal from whatever ailments. Big hugs to @Cassleigh98. It is never easy when our pets get sick 💜
