I have a 2.5 gallon tank with rinsed blue (glass?) rocks and two plastic plants that are two bettas big. There is a light and filter in the tank and the temp stays around 76-82 degrees. Aurora, my betta, gets a weekly fasting and exercise. He is healthy and his fins are growing but he glass surfs at night. I will get a heater next month when it gets colder and the temps are low. He does poop (not white) and swims a lot! Does this sound good to you?

Make sure that the plastic plants wont tear his fins.. If they do, switch to silk or real plants.

Yeah it sounds fine to me! =] Glad that you're upgrading though! =] You could always keep the 2.5 as a hospital tank or a tank for another betta. =]

I really like what you did with his hiding place...the blue marbles are so pretty. As long as you're doing frequent water changes it sounds like he's in good care!

He got a filter and I clean his water really well each week.He is healthier than a horse!
