I have that cheapo wal-mart painted gravel in all my tanks. I've been reading in other post how it releases toxins slowly. I tried researching not coming up with any real answers. Should I just go ahead and replace all my gravel?
Well, you could. But since it supposedly releases it slowly, when you do your water changes it will remove most of the poisonous stuff. Though exposure to it could shorten your fish's life so it is your call.
