They dont seem to mind, wen they see the net, they rarely try to escape.

I feed my female bettas separately from my tetras (neon/glow lite) because they sre little pigs just like all bettas :p

So i put them in a half-gallon tank (actually a partly filled 2.5 gal plastic cereal container) and i give hem enough food for one fish divided between three, and then they go eat what the tetras didnt for the rest of the meal and i pour them back, as i pour, demeter willingly swims down the stream, apherodite lets herself get pulled out and persephone swims away untill there is no water in the container and slithers out. always it goes like that. is this too stressful? demeter has stress stripes sometimes, not always thats it

if you do it contanstly, regularly, then it can lower there immune system by a bit leaving them more succeptable to attacks from diseases, fungus's, etc. i would recommend distracting the females with something more tempting on one side of the tank. and feed the other inhabitants on the other side

the food floats all over the tank, but ive always removed them and they dont seem to mind, lol. is there a less stressful way to remove them they are too strong to cup them, and they rarely come up to the surface.

Pog has hulk-a-mania fish. No cup can hold them down!

Besides, you can get a breedeer box at petsmart or petco. Even petsupermarket if you so wish! They have plastic ones and ones made of mesh. :)
