So, my crowntail, Balthazar, has never had very large fins. When I got him, they looked like this: (Sorry, never could get a really good shot from the side.)

Recently I took him on a road trip back home because I couldn't find a fish sitter for him and I didn't wanna leave him alone for three weeks, and during travel his fins kinda got damaged a lot, and not only that but he has a habit of swimming in the area between the sides of the tank and the thermometer and heater and I've seen him catch his fins a few times. I took this picture yesterday.

Any advice on fin care and helping them grow back?

IAL (Indian Almond Leaves) is helping my Crown Tail out with his fins that were bitten. also Stress Coat helps as well. =)

thank you. <3 If you have a local fish store, they might have some. I have a betta store in saint paul to get mine and they are around 8 to 10 bucks for a large bag of them. you can go online for them too. ^^

Hey, just wanted to thank you for the advice, Balthzar's fins have grown over the last week or so and they already look amazing! All I did was increase the dose of water conditioner I put into the tank, I found out it has a stress coat in it and adding an extra half of what I normally put in really helped!
