Yeah, so I've got a bubble rock for Cass, but every pump I've tried in her 5g tank, and every one I've found online, is too powerful and pushes her around. Even the little Fluval 5-10 gallon air pumps are advertised as "QUIET AND POWERFUL" and don't have variable flow speed. I'm trying to find a weak air pump to provide a small amount of bubbles with very little flow. Is that unrealistic? Does an air pump like that not exist? Because an hour of research seems to tell me it's an unreasonable request. xD

Any chance you have a link to an example? The only air line valves I found online that have any sort of mechanism with which to lessen flow were cheap plastic garbage that apparently doesn't actually do anything. >_<

They are T valves I've had to use more than one.

I am using a Tetra Whisper pump to run two and three tanks. I have also found Top fin ones at Petsmart to be less powerful. I use extra air line and put it on the floor for it to be quieter. I am wondering if are hooking this pump to a sponge filter. You don't need the pump otherwise. If you are are using a sponge filter I might be willing to film my setup.

That would work, you just open one of the unused valves slightly to bleed of the extra air.

The Hawkeye one gallon tank comes with a small airpump. Its pretty weak and I have used it with one of the marina airstones (the shell shaped one). It provides a small mist of bubbles whereas when I use a more powerful airpump I would get about 20X the amount of bubbles and they would be much bigger.
