The conditioners tend to work instantly- and I have yet to run into one where someone uses it that needs to be set out.

A filtered two gallon would need 2 50% water changes each week- one being just water, and the other being substrate vacuuming/stir&dip method. Make sure the filter is baffled.. small tanks such as a 2 gallon tend to have too strong of a filter for a betta, and I prefer not using a filter in tanks that size. If you can't baffle the filter, and the filter is causing a current at the surface of the tank that is strong, and/or pushing your betta around, I would remove it.. and then you would want to be doing 1 50% (water only) and 1 100% water change per week.

They can feel the vibrations if the speakers are on the same stand as they are.. but otherwise, music doesn't affect them for the most part. And most ignore the vibrations they do feel.

As long as they are clean then I can see no reason for them to be dangerous- just rinse them off in hot water.

Welcome :)

No.. the ammonia level is most likely dangerous now as it is.. use a net, after floating him in the tank and acclimating him to the new chemistry (20 minutes, every 5 minutes or so remove a bit of water from the cup- throw away- and replace with water from the tank), you can use a net to gently pour the cup of water into the net and gently place him in the tank.

It's not recommended to put the water they were in into your tank. But you should be acclimating him by putting in some of the new water into his old water to get him used to the new stuff. (too many new's and old's in there)
