Does anyone know if Kordon Rid-Ich Plus is very effective?

Lots of people I know like the stuff and say it works well but I have been dealing with ick in my 55 gal. tank for a few weeks now. I used this stuff and did my water changes but the ick seemed to get worse. Exausted with this medication I went to walmart and picked up a bottle of quick cure and low and behold it is working!!!
