Going away for the weekend and left the lamp on the 3 gallon betta tank! Kinda worried if the fish will be okay over the weekend with the lamp on. He does have a cave if he wants darkness. But just wondering if he will be ok with that lamp left on! Please advise!

It would be better to turn the lamp off and allow just a little natural light. Open the curtains so some sunlight gets in and allows some light in. It would be stressful with bright light on all the time.

Hopefully if you have some plants, it will shade the light a lil, and if the light is not too bright, like a LED color light, should be ok..but if it's a real bright light, and if you don't have enough plants to shield some of that light.. I am not sure if it will hurt your fishy..but I am pretty sure, it may stress him out some.. try shutting it off as soon as you get back..or if possible have someone do it for you:)

He should be ok. If it's an incandescent light the water might get pretty warm.

If you have a neighbor watching your house or one with a key you can have them run over and shut off the light but overall I wouldn't worry too much. The light being on for a couple days won't hurt him. He will still sleep.
