My local pet store just got fish not to long after bettas they have a filtration system and a heater this is one of the best parts the bettas tanks were cycled a lot of them were dumbos they had 3 crowntails a lot of halfmoons and 1 or 2 veiltails not to much variety yet but this was their first shipment this is a lot better than cups

That is wayyyy better than cups a store in our local pet market uses those but also cups. I’m so happy for the fish!

Cups are very temporary where im from. They sell soo quickly!
i went in to get Tailes and there was about 11 other betta, which were all gone in a week!

also, she just moved shop and hasnt set up the betta racks yet

The only time I’d ever use a cup is when breeding bettas deserve more space than that

I know all the bettas seemed happy and healthy there was only one that came in sick why can't every store have this set up

If a small local petsore can do that, then a BIG CHAIN petsore should be able to do that with EASE!!!!!

My local fish store recently expanded their betta section. They have always used tanks, not cups, but the bettas used to be in with other nano fish. Now they carry a ton more bettas and they are almost all in tanks with just snails! It is so much nicer than going in and looking at the cups. Not only do you not have to feel so bad for the bettas, you can actually get a better idea of their personality!

Actually I don't have a local petco or petsmart I live in the middle of nowhere

Well selling bettas doesn't give pet stores as much money as say a mollie or other fish so they don't really care about them

They are! The worst I've seen are a few torn fins. I'm hoping when it comes time to get a betta again, I'll be able to find the right one there! In the mean time, I'll keep getting plants, hardscape, and other supplies there to support them!

Those tanks are amazing for a pet store. Much better than cups. I just hope that people don't see that, get a betta and keep it in that size tank.
