He's doing okay so far. I was a little late on the second dose. Did it yesterday morning instead of Saturday. He seems to have a little more energy and it looks like the black sections of his tail have fallen off and don't like they're rotting any further. He doesn't really look too much smaller though.

Glad hes hanging in there at least. Its extremely important to stay on schedule with the mere so you don't reduce effectiveness or breed another resistance. Final dose will be tomorrow then. Hopefully at the end of 7 days he'll look notably better. If.hes at least looking better on the 1st you can do 100% change and begin a second round but he should at least show some improvement

Well I'll be out of town from the 6-11 so what should I do about that? Could I wait until I got back to medicate? Or finish up the 2nd round of medication before I leave?

My great grandfather is coming over to feed the animals. I'm not sure if he'd be able to change the water though. I'd take him with me but do you think he'd be okay in a cup for 8 hours? Would that stress him out?

Alright my boyfriend agreed to come over and change his water. Today ... March 1...when I get home from work I plan on starting the second does of meds. Idk what's up with him. Now instead of spending all his time in the plant by the surface he lays on the bottom a lot and will swim up to the surface when he needs air. He hasn't gotten any smaller but his scales don't look as raised. Still eating and pooping normally. A little fast of breath. And still sinks occasionally.

It honestly seems like every day he's different. One day he looks like he's improving and the next day he looks like he's right back where he was. This whole thing is frustrating. I wish he'd get better or pass on so he's not miserable. I know I've done everything I can though except the goof up with not using potent enough Maracyn. But we've ruled out parasites and ruled out tumors and the only thing it looks like it could be is some kind of bacterial infection. I just don't know how to stop worrying about him and stop feeling guilty.

Well my boyfriend gave him his last dose of medicine on Tuesday and did another water change today. He said he's still alive but no change really. When I left Monday afternoon he was just laying around like usual. His scales aren't as raised but he's still bloated and just idk. My grandma thinks he's just old.
