Alright, so the other night my dad said that he had read somewhere what dried Magnolia leaves would do the same thing as IAL or Oak. Is this true?

Ive used Magnolia leaves before. I have yet to use oak tree leaves, though I hear nothing but good news about them so I would suggest those as well If you can find some.
