Hi I'm new to Bettas and just got my first two Bettas today. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Both are very young. One is actually still a baby so the gender is unknown and the other is known to be a Crowntail female (but a young one so I'm not sure if the gender is right). The Crowntail female is just around the size of a full grown guppy. I was wondering if that could help determine how old she was too? I am really curious on what the baby's gender would be. I know that bettas should not be put together so I was planning on putting them in different tanks but I set the two cups down next to each other and the two bettas were automatically going into attack mode. Their gills were sticking out and their fins were moving super fast as they stared at each other. I did not know they would do that even though they were in separate cups and it's a good thing they were! Right when I saw the Crowntail female I knew I wanted her. She was so full of life and was swimming around more actively than the others that were at the bottom of their cups. The baby is just so cute and colorful so I decided to get him/her
