Hello there!
You can call me Mardi. I'm 26 years old, and have lived in Florida all my life. I'm currently working as an office manager, and really enjoy what I do.
I have a wide variety of interests, but when I'm not working or doting over my Betta, Bowie I can be found writing reading or listening to music.
I've been an animal lover all of my life, and have been an ovo-lacto vegetarian for the last nine years (being Vegan for about four and a half of those nine). I primarily write poetry, but have been known to write short stories as well. I'm a music junkie; and although I don't usually play favorites, some bands I enjoy are- The Killers, Queen and The Airborne Toxic Event. I adore going to concerts, and learned how to run before I could walk.
I have a genetic disorder which has caused a lot of medical and personal turmoil in my life. But, all that turmoil has taught me to be optimistic, compassionate and tough.
My Betta hoby started on my tenth birthday, when I got my first Betta, Stephen. I adopted another Betta, Raphael, about two years ago, but, sadly, he was only a part of my life for a year. I currently only have my Bowie.
I have only recently joined this forum, and can already tell i'll be staying for quite some time.
