Alright, remember Mr. Bloated Crowntail the belonged to someone at my friends work? Well, he is no longer bloated (he had major internal parasites) and is EXTREMELY active.

But there is still a problem it seems.

He won't go to the bathroom regularly :/ I am supposed to return him soon, but he is not completely better. He seems to only go to the bathroom when I feed him Daphnia, but after that, nothing.

What should I do guys?

What are you feeding him? I may suggest epsom salt, just to see if that helps clear him out completely and get his digestion back on track!! Pellets are better than flakes, and variety of foods is better than just a pellet diet. Epsom salt: 1-3 teaspoons per gallon, no more than 10 days. and try fasting one day, too.

I have been using Epsom Salt XD And he has been eating pellets, flakes and blood worms as well :lol: I will probably have to try fasting him again ^^;

I had this happen, sorta. My friend had a deep fiery red veil tail, and he had SBD like you wouldn't imagine! Took months to clear up. Plus the rot, which parts of hi fins FELL OFF!!! I told her, we'd switch. I gave her a healthy boy, Crayola, so that I may administer the appropriate care to the little red Sasuke, and she agreed.

Yeah she was really sad giving Sasuke up... But I told her it was best for the fella, and I wasn't sure if he would ever get better or STAY better. So I let her choose from 5 males, which she knew I loved. Never know

And he didn't explode?? :lol: just kidding well it looks like you are doing well, but you may need to hold off giving him back for a little while longer. Just explain why, and you want to make sure he is fully well!
