I have a 2.5 gallon tank with filter, i have been feeding him betta pellets 3 times a day but i only give him about 1 or 2 pellets every time since hes pretty small i have to cut them in half. Idk if it matters but his poop looks like regular poop not stringy, but white. Also im thinking hes swimming back and forth due to the filter because last time i turned it off (which turns off the light too since they are connected) and he wasnt swimming fast at all and was calm. Im not sure on my parameters since i havent bought testing kit yet and no its not cycled.
White poop is a sign of internal parasites. If he does come down with internal parasites, you can treat him with Metronidazole. I had a betta that came down with that, he's fine now because of that.
