Congrats that he arrived alive what are you going to name him
still not sure what to name him. looking for some ideas now...
Wow thats a nice looking guy! I'm not much of a dt fan but this guy would be enough to turn me to the dt side. I really like the second picture.
Is the paua shell actually in the tank? coz if it is it will make the water hard and raise the pH
the shell has been coated so the pH isnt affected. I absolutely love this betta! and i'm determined to breed it.
He's beautiful. I love DT dorsals. Are you sure the shell is coated with something fish safe? I'm not trying to give you a hard time but it takes up a lot of room in his tank. Also just a suggestion...I'd make sure he has something to rest on. I've owned some big finned DT's and their fins tend to drag them down. I'd hate to see those pretty fins munched on.
Put me on a list for babies please!
ME TOO!! he looks like lunar, and he has a big finnage. GORGEOUS :-D
Oh man, his fins look like silk! He is stunning!
That...dorsal...O.O omg. Seriously thats the most amazing dorsal I think i've ever seen. Plus I'm a serious sucker for coppers. Amazing buy!! I look forward to seeing babies from him!

Yes. its coated with an epoxy resin and it really isn't taking up as much room as it looks like. he's got lots of room in front of the shell. he also likes to rest on it. I've kept bettas for years and I know just how to keep them happy. people should stop worrying about how much room they give a betta, as long as they're not keeping it in a container so small that their waste would accumulate quickly and effect their health.
woahhhhhh soo cool! Those are some crazy awesome fins!
