I need help, my fish, Sam (short for Samantha) is dying I think, because she has rotting tail and icy. What should I do? Which one do a treat first because she is not getting better when I give her ich medication. I don't know what to do!?�� She has a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter and I cleaned her tank a week ago. I bought her feb 4 2016 and I don't know what to do. I am no expert and I really need an expert to help me. I research stuff but irrelevant thing come up. Can someone help me. If you need pictures to help me tell me and I will add some. Thanks for the help

Hi there! Sorry to hear your betta isn't feeling well. I'm not the most experienced person on bettas, but I can try to help until the more experienced members get here. Like Olivia said, can you fill out the questionnaire found here?

How often are you changing the water? Do you have a heater? What medication are you using right now? Have you tried treating with aquarium salt first, since aquarium salt can treat both ich and fin rot.

My first tip for a fish with fin rot is to start doing partial water changes every day, especially on a 2.5

Sam died, we had a burial today. I buried her in my garden. I was a day late in buying medication. I will buy a new beta but have to save. Wish me luck on this one
