I got Rudy from a Petco locally last year (July 4) as a giveaway because he was tiny and suffering from swim bladder and after getting him into a 78 degree heated 5.5 gallon aquarium and fasting him for 3 days he slowly came around and flourished afterwards. I do 60-70% water changes weekly and he has always been on a diet of Fluval Bug Bites and some occasional brine shrimp. I have a low powered pump with a filter and he spends equal time in different places all over the tank especially in his house and near his mossy natural plants. My concern is that he has not been wanting to eat much lately and seems to want to be pinned between tight areas and when he’s not he seems to tilt a little sideways like he did with the swim bladder. He has always been a little off balance at times but I assumed it was the issues he went through before. His color and fins look great but I’m concerned. Could he have a swim bladder problem again? Or something else I’m not understanding? I have not fed him the last 2 days in case the swim bladder issues have returned. Thanks for any advice. Sincerely, Danny.
