So, a few minutes ago, I was feeding my minnows, and noticed that my snail has a broken shell! This was likely caused by a decoration in the tank, which he had wedged himself between it and the glass. He was wedged for about a day, before I realized he was not just being lazy. His behavior is normal, breeding like crazy, as per usual. And he is still scooting around.

My question is, until I can get the silicone at 5 pm tonight, should I leave him in the tank, or out of the tank in a container with a bit of shallow tank water? The meathod I'll be using to fix his shell will be Steff J's video on how to fix an apple snail shell. Will it work for this kind a break?

I do have cuddle-bone in the tank. There's two other mystery snails besides him, one Golden Inca snail, 3 MTS (if they did not breed), and 7 Golden white cloud mountain minnows. This is a 15 gallon tank. It's planted.

Never-mind- got the answer on the snail forums. It'll heal on it's own.
