these are my females..... they are in a 9 gallon, there are 4 of them, the red one is Rose, the white-ish one is Lilly and the green-ish/blue-ish one is Ivy, the other one is Sister....my oldest...and biggest ...she has stress stripes....they go away then come back any tips let me know... there is supriseingly NO bullying at all!!! Lilly and Rose like to sleep on the leafs of the red plant in the corner, my biggest one is sister and she likes the green silk plant in the other corner....lilly likes the fake anemone she sleeps in it... they ALL like the cups and the colorful thingy, Ivy also likes the anemone. Rose and Lilly and Ivy hang out together quite a bit, they sleep together on the red plant like RIGHT next to each other sometimes... so cute... oh and that is food at the top, they wait til it sinks then eat it sometimes, so there is food at the bottom also.

Is that a divided nine gallon? Or is it a like 15 gallon divided?

You also need mire plants by the way. You shouldn't be able to see the other side. It needs to be dense just on case nipping happens, if it does they will have no where to run.
divided 10 gallon :/ i can't get another until we move....but my grandparents may not want me to buy another..... it was divided so Mister could have a place in it, but right now im treating him, and i put Sir in it for now...

there is only 4, and they don't nip, i went to buy some more silk ones too, but all they had was plastic.... im going again on saturday to see if there are more. but they don't nip and they dont chase, its really odd because most do. idk i guess they like each other lol. i know i need more plants.... but there are only the 4 of them, and they have space an lots of hidey places...

so..... are ROUNDED plastic plants okay?
Mine didn't either at first, now they kind of do. That is the only reason why I told you.
oh, i see, thanks.... but do plastic plants work? i dont want live ones....
i added foliage

I personally think you need some floating plants to provide cover at the top. Since from what i've noticed the girls in my sorority go crazy and try to kill each other without it. However, with the floating plants they are as peaceful as can be.

:D you are getting there in terms of more places to hide though!
thank you.....i could make floaty plants.....but i personally don't prefer them, they seem cluttered....

I have to have floating plants on my tank (it is open topped, so they give the girls a feeling of security + stop jumpers). I hate how the duckweed gets everywhere, but I love what it does to the lighting in the tank. :)
oh, i have a hood, and im OCD about things being a-stray like papers laying around, or not being stacked, and when things are cock-eyed it bugs the crud out of me lol.
I'm glad to see you are wanting and trying to do more for them..
I would add in more plants, plastics are fine since the females don't have the same long fins as males, and can navigate through them easier. Just no pointy ones..
You put items in there, but instead of giving more places to hide, they just take up a lot of swimming space.
If you don't want floating plants, then tall plants would be good as it seems they are at the top often enough. Just had a couple member's sororities end up collapsing, so trying to help give you a good fighting chance with yours.

I would remove the cat and add in a lot more plants.. all the stuff on the bottom isn't doing them any good or breaking up the lines of sights. You can keep them in there, just need more plants! Soft plastic would be fine with them if that is all you can find.
the cat is hollow.... i only have 3 now anyways, 2 died from unknown causes im not buying anymore after these all die... im getting sick of them dieing.
