Hi there!

I just got 2 new Male Betta Fish

(Sonic and Jetsam)

and really want to give them a happy life with real plants!

I so far have 1 5 gallon tank but may upgrade to a 10 gallon tank! What are the best plants to use?

I am specifically looking for brighter green plants rather than brownish ones!

The first thing you're going to want to do is switch out the fluval chi's light, which probably won't grow more then java moss, java fern, and maybe anubias. Or, you can upgrade to a ten gallon and light it properly and expand your selection.

They aren't both going in the one tank, are they?

No - not in the same tank!!!

I was going to perhaps get a 10 -12 gallon for my second fish and keep it in a different room in my house.

What light do you recommend to switch with the Chi standard kit light? Does this mean replace just the light bulb or the whole filter?

Will the kit lighting be sufficient to grow plants?
