So I come home today and notice that my lil boy taz has a white fuz ball under his chin at least that's what it looks like.. I don't know much about betta diseases. He's in a ten gallon with a gourami and three females ... The only thing I can think of is I put two live plants in his tank over the last weekend.

You got any pictures?

I'm going to take a long shot and either say the females made him lose a scale or the gourami did. Gourami are as territorial as bettas are.

On a side note: female bettas and males shouldn't be kept together. I personally don't have any problems with it if they get along, But if one of your females become egg-bound it could be very stressful.

I hope that's it. And yeah he's really calm and I havent had any probs with them..but thanks for the advice
