So... I got a nerite to help with the algea...

Acclimated it... and of course curious notch is curious... After the acclimation, I released it to the forest of plants... And Notch came up, saw antennae and of course looks like a worm right? nip...

snail reacted by withdrawing quickly into shell - notch swam on his way over to the onlooking cat.. and now the snail is burrowing into the sand? Like I saw movement, but it looks like he's sinking into the sand...

Have you seen this behavior from your nerites? Should I be worried? I don't know if any damages were done to the nerite, I'll be observing continuously..

Nevermind I think - I picked him up out of the sand and checked him out.. I placed him on top of the themometor to get him up off the ground and near a wall of the tank. So he's nice and planted on the tank wall and getting to work.
