Welcome to the forum! Simon is precious! I'd recomend changing the gravel to dark colored pebbles or sand. IME, bettas get stressed from bright colored gravel. Even if that is not true, it's always better to make our tanks as natural as possible. Bettas love live plants. Anubia is an easy one. Floating plants like pistia or duckweed are also great. You might want to add an ial in there, for the water to tint. Bettas love them! Also, do you have a filter and a heater? How often are you feeding? How often do you change the water?

Simon is beautiful! Congratulations. I recommend reading through the stickies on this forum, especially the ones in the Betta Care section. There is a lot of good information in them. And don't hesitate to ask questions! This is a great forum for that: there are a lot of kind, helpful, experienced betta keepers here!
