ok... i had picked up a 50 watt heater yesterday for the tank I ordered so I opened it and put it in his water just at 76 until I'm sure it is working ok... he is hanging out next to it.... also before he was hanging out next to the smaller heater a .. 7.5 watt...

Do you think maybe he just needs to be warmer????

Could he be that sensitive?

try covering his tank with a black t-shirt. i had a female that wouldn't un-stress unless 3 of the 4 walls of her tank were covered by a black shirt.

Here is a couple of pics..... he has been hiding in his log and in areas I can't see him....I'll cover him a bit and see if that helps my poor guy...

Lucky never seemed stressed at all when I brought him home...

Omg he is so pretty! And def a boy. He will get used to his new environment, you've only had him a few days. Give him lots of hidey holes and plants to hide and play in. If you can get some IAL it might help. :)

Give him time to adjust :) some of my males and females got stress stripes, or submission stripes when they were new. It's basically nervousness, for us :) being somewhere new!! :p

Hey, it's fine to worry :) I mean we all want our bettas to be happy and healthy ^^ It took me a while to "lay off" of hawk watching my bettas  Now I just check on everyone and the tanks :)

Wanted to update.... Nebula is still here :). Picked uo API Stress Coat and used it for his last two water changes. He is still hiding and just sitting a lot, but once in a while i look over and he is actually swimming around. YEAH! He even sat for a bit and looked at me one time. He still isn't interested in eating, but i'm trying not to worry about that. He has a favorite spot to sit right between two leaves. Pretty much hides him completely. I'm hopeful he will be ok. He was sopposed to go to school, but i'm not sure he could handle that :-?

Thanks for all the comments.
