So my new Male Crimson Iridescent Butterfly Rosetail Betta fish arrived today he happily swimming around, however his head looks like the scales are matte whereas the whole of his body is iridescent I don’t know if this is normal or if he’s sick as doesn’t look too good. Any advice would be great he’s in a fluval edge with heater on his own

oooooh he is so pretty!! He looks healthy to me, he might be starting to change colour. Keep an eye on it, watch to make sure it isn't raised or fuzzy, keep the water very clean. Enjoy!

Thank you, and his head wasn’t very visible on photos before I purchased him so hopefully he will be okay and it’s just normal. He seems to be happily settling in x
