Hi everyone!

I was at my local fish store the other night picking up food for my cichlids and was compelled to go over to the sad, sad section that is where the tiny container-kept Betta's are. I spotted this guy and fell in love with how, unique? He looked. At that same moment I noticed he was in DISGUSTING water, his fins have started curling and it looks to be as if he is losing scales. So I bought a 1.5 gallon tank and brought him home!

I've had him for three days now and is SOO much more lively with his new found swimming room.

Looking closer I can't seem to define if he in fact is losing scales or if it's just his coloration..? What do you guys think?

It's his colouration. He is a dragonscale betta - one which has heavier scales than other bettas, and he will likely be a marble, so expect some colour changes! He's a lovely boy, and very lucky you came by
