I recently started my fish hobby in September of this year. Started with a fish bowl, then 5 gallon tank and recently bought 2 more tanks at garage sale (10 gallon and a 3 gallon). Only wanted to get a Betta at first for my 5 gallon. Bought a Half Moon double tail male Betta, then 3 Gold Dust Mollies (2 male and 1 female). Because of course didn't like the fact of him being lonely lol. I know, I know they are solitary fish, but couldn't help myself. And I did put them together 1 week apart, even though it's suggested not too. Their names are BlueGotti (male betta), Big Al, Bugsy and Bonnie for the mollies. All was great until I discovered Bonnie was definitely pregnant. Well me being new to this I separated her and she passed away. Felt horrible. So got a replacement molly whom I named Blondie. Then she was pregnant. This time I didn't separate her. She had her fry last week. Afterwards she became very aggressive and started harassing the male's. So now have her in a fish bowl by herself until my new 10 gallon tank is ready. Oh and I bought second Betta and he's by himself in the 3 gallon I got at garage sale. His name is Dracco. My question is
Vertebrate Light Purple Organism Pink
Water Vertebrate Organism Underwater Fin
Water Vertebrate Azure Organism Fin

what suggestions do you all have for my 10 gallon FEMALE only (lol) tank? I'm thinking 3 Glofish tetra's, 3 sister Betta's, the 1 molly (Blondie) and some sort of algae eater? BTW I have the rock plastic glowing style substrate. Will anything work with that type of bottom or do I need to get something else? Thank you for reading this far. I apologize, I'm a talker lol. And thank you in advance for any responses or replies.

Welcome I suggest not doing the glow tetras because they are nippy I've never done snails but I have heard they are good bottom feeders I have a happy healthy 10 gal with 3 mollies and 1 african dwarf frog please don't blame me for the one we will be getting more beautiful boys are you trying a sorority it was quite unclear what you meant by sister betta's but I recommend atleast 20 gal for a sorority

Please do not put three female betta's together in a tank that size. If you can find 1 non-aggressive female Betta fish you could put her with 4-5 small fish. As Betta nerd said above, I wouldn't do any Glofish tetra's as they gotta be in a school of 6-8 for them not to nip and pick at each other and other fish. For a 10-gallon, I would recommend having fish that stay 1-2 inches maybe one 3-inch betta if its what happens.

You could get a few guppies or even a few mollies if they are the same gender. I wouldn't go with less than 4 of any type of tropical community fish (not including betta fish). You could get 5 guppies or something like that, then get some snails. I would not get any algae-eating fish. Either way, i suggest you try and do lots of research yourself! Good luck!

Thank you for responding. I am trying to figure out what to put in the 10 gallon. Some people have suggested a sorority of female betta fish. I was thinking 3. Then maybe a few glow tetra's. Plus the one molly that is by herself now. I'm sorry I didn't clarify. I would like to put a snail or placo as a algae eater. I'm new to this so any suggestions are welcome. Question: if I do only glow tetra's, how many can I put in the 10 gallon tank?
