My new salamander pair from Thailand! I love yellow salamanders and finally splurged for the pair of them. Be kind they just got in 4 hrs ago but I took him out of the box and he flared at me lol. Question is his top fin is curling I cant remember why they do this but what an I do to make it stop.

His dorsal is curling/flipping and will most likely curl more as he ages but they are a beautiful pair!

Yay thanks everyone I am so ready to breed them but I am going to wait a few weeks to make sure they have settled in properly.
I remember something about water hardness inducing curling more?

They're awesome
With long fin bettas they are more prone to curling because they have got so much fin to carry, also as they age the fins will curl more because they will get older and a bit more...frail than they used to be, meaning it is not nearly as easy for them to carry their fins properly!!!
Crowntail's fins can curl due to the pH level in the tank, this is not the owners fault it is just that crowntails rays are more delicate than other fish.
