Kings are half Giants, they don't get as big as full Giants.

Update 1/29/16:

I think he's doing much better since I got him, so I decided to move him to a bigger tank today but will upgrade him to a 7G when I move, just don't have the room right now. I gave my friend Jack(another king) since she wanted a more colorful king betta - he was purple and yellow, either way, this silver guy has a home now!

I ended up finding a nice cello/white king boy with light blue eyes, he's a marble and already starting to get some blues spreading in him.
