So I just got my new betta Bo today,
He has a terra cotta pot ornament with a huge amount of hiding space
But he won't come out of it!
He's not stuck and when he does come out he either not even for a bloodworm! And if he does he stays in the corner or swims at the bottom of the tank, he has a heated tank (82) and a light and filter he was so hyper at the store
Is he ok and just getting used to the surroundings? or should I be alarmed?

Is the light on? You might wanna turn the light off for the first few days. Let him get acclimated. Do you have any plants or anything for him to play in?

Probably not. Just kinda in shock. Like how you would feel if you moved from a tiny studio apartment to a mansion. ;)
Just keep the lights out for a few days and try to get him to eat some pellets. He'll come out of his shell eventually. :)

Good advice from xjenuhfur.

Offer pellets 2 or 3 times a day. Make sure to remove any he doesn't eat.

Don't run the filter for a while.

Cover his tank or assure darkness at night.

He's glad to have that hide. Plants too. Get more especially floaters. Anubias and Wisteria go either way.
